Corporate Responsibility responsibilities and management structure
Executive Committee is the main decision-making body, with the CEO formally taking responsibility for this area.
CR Steering Committee
To oversee the CR strategy pursued by Sonae Sierra, in particular setting the long-term objectives and goals for the company to strive towards, and agreeing the annual plans for performance monitoring, target-setting, and reporting and communicating. The CR Steering Committee is chaired by the CEO of Sierra.
The principal responsibility of the CR Steering Committee is: to provide the overall vision for the company’s CR Strategy, including setting and reviewing policy, and approving the long-term objectives, short-term targets and budgets put forward by each of the Working Groups.
Constitution of the CR Steering Committee:
The CR Steering Committee consists of senior management representatives across different disciplines. It includes the individuals with overall responsibility for key aspects of Corporate Responsibility, including financial, environment, safety and health, human resources, communities (including visitors), suppliers and tenants.
The members of the CR Steering Committee are appointed by Executive Committee.
Operation of the CR Steering Committee:
The CR Steering Committee should meet 3 times a year – February, June, and October.
The Environment Department take the role of coordinating and guaranteeing the dynamics of the CR Steering Committee.
