Luís Mota Duarte

Luís Mota Duarte joined Sonae Sierra in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer, now holding responsibility for the investment management area as well. He joined Sonae SGPS in 2014 to head up Mergers and Acquisitions. Previously, he spent 14 years in London, notably as Director at Bridgepoint Capital, a leading European private equity firm, with €26 billion in assets under management. He has worked for Salomon Smith Barney in its Investment Banking division and in General Electric’s Business Development team. In the academic world, he was Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, until October 2020, and is currently Adjunct Professor at the Nova School of Business & Economics, in Lisbon, where he teaches Private Equity to Masters students.
